Showers & Baths 

Usually 4 x 4 tile is used on the walls for showers and bathtubs, (although other sizes are available) and 2 x 2 tile is used on the shower floor. You need to use 2 x 2 (or 3 x 3) tile on the shower floor because the floor is so un-level due to the drain. The smaller sized tile can follow the contour of the floor. 

If you want your bathroom to stand out - its not the size or kind of tile that is important, but the DESIGN. You can make designs with ANY kind of tile!
